What will happen when we release too much CO2 into the atmosphere?

Jan 29th, 2012

You shouldn't worry about people putting too much CO2 into the air, about 99% of all CO2 is produced by nature and is not man-made.CO2 (carbon dioxide) is an essential compound to support the life cycle of Earth. CO2 is absorbed by plant life in the process of photosynthesis which allows them to grow and in return give off oxygen so humans and animal life can breath. Increased CO2 from its current levels will also increase the growth rate of plants, meaning there is more food for a hungry world. CO2 is not a pollutant. It’s insane to call an essential life compound a pollutant, that’s just common sense. Nor is CO2 toxic. We breath CO2 with every breath and it hasn’t killed anybody yet.But of course we need oxygen to live. So if you were in a room with nothing but CO2, you would die. But its not the CO2 that killed you — but the lack of oxygen. Just like if you drown, the water wasn't toxic, it was the lack of oxygen that killed you.CO2 is a blessing and not a curse and if anything, our atmosphere is currently CO2 deficient. There is no link between increased CO2 in the air and warmer global temperatures, that is a falsehood spread by Global Warming zealots that want to tax you on the production of CO2 — which every human and animal exhales. No link between CO2 and warmer temperatures (graphs)http://icecap.us/index.php/go/joes-blog/…Plants grow faster with more CO2 (indisputable scientific fact)http://joannenova.com.au/2010/04/co2-is-…Please watch this video to address your Global Warming Concernshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtevF4B4R…** Also if you would like to ask more questions about Global Warming, it has its own category under Environment. Simply, what pushes electricity through a circuit?

Jan 28th, 2012

Voltage. You're question should really be "what pushes current through a circuit". Current is simply the flow of electrons in a circuit. Electricity is a quite difficult concept to grasp. If you imagine the current as the water in a pipe then the voltage would be the pressure forcing it through the pipe. 1 month ago Thanks

Why are the waves in California glowing blue at night?

Jan 28th, 2012

- Chosen by Voters "The event is actually a bioluminescence phenomenon and is caused by a algae bloom called the “red tide.” The organism, a phytoplankton called Lingulodinium polyedrum, has bloomed since late August, turning the water a brownish-red color in the daytime. In the night time, however, the coastline is lit with a mystical electric-blue hue." from:http://www.zmescience.com/science/oceano… Source(s): geologist 2 months ago 100% 3 Votes 1 person rated this as good

In science how did they work out the age of these living things?

Jan 28th, 2012

- Chosen by Voters Carbon Dating is not wrong.Carbon Dating does not give you the precise age of an object, and it was never supposed to. Carbon Dating gives a RANGE for the age of an object.I don't know what the ranges are but let's just say, for example, that Carbon Dating gives the age of a certain object as between 40,000 and 50,000 years ago. Since the range of dates is 10,000 years (50,000 minus 40,000), and 10,000 is 20% of the maximum age of 50,000; someone who is trying to convince you that science is wrong and dangerous would tell you that the Carbon Dating of the actual age of the object is "20% wrong". All they're doing is twisting the facts and not telling you the entire story. That is why science education is important, so that you know when someone is trying to manipulate you by telling you something that sounds good but is only half of the truth.. 4 months ago 67% 2 Votes
